The application uses the in-build GPS in the Android Tablet to find your current location and plots pointers as overlays on a map to show points of interest in the vicinity of your current location. Find Near Me also allows you to find other locations and search for places around them. It even remembers the locations you have previously searched in.
The application initially presents a pre-defined list of more than 50 keywords that you can search for, however it is highly customizable and you can add his/her own search terms for future use. Find Near Me provides you detailed information about the locations including the Distance of the searched location from your current position, Address, Phone Numbers and even a Street View image of the place when available. Want More? You can even visit the Google™ Places page in your browser for a location to get even more details about the place.
Find Near Me relies on your GPS location and the GPS information might not be precise if you are on a Wi-Fi only version of your Android Tablet.

1. Why does the app ask for File Access Permission?
Find Near Me uses a "local" database to store the search keywords and locations which you have entered into the application and retrieve/restore them back on next launch. We DONT access any of your personal files or transmit any out of your device. The File Access Permission is needed for Find Near Me to access this local database and retrieve/store values. This is perfectly safe and there are no privacy concerns around this.
2. How does Find Near Me find my location in case my Android Tablet fails to access my GPS Location?
Find Near Me uses your IP Address to find your location using a reliable IP to Location service. Please bear in mind that although this location isn't precise it's the only alternative in absence of the GPS Location.
If your GPS position is way off, we suggest searching for your current locations address (Street name, City, Country) in the Search Locations view and add this location to your Search Locations. Find Near Me will use this location to display the results.
